KURT BILLS RECEIVES REPUBLICAN LIBERTY CAUCUS ENDORSEMENT
Welcomes the support of the caucus

ROSEMOUNT, Minnesota (April 19, 2010) – Rosemount resident, high school teacher, business owner and city council member Kurt Bills today received the support of the Minnesota Chapter of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Minnesota in his campaign for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 37B.

The group, a state affiliate of the Republican Liberty Caucus, announced endorsements for 13 other Republican legislative candidates as well.

"Our state government is living well beyond its means and Minnesotans are feeling the consequences of the DFL-led legislature's inability to set the state's spending priorities given the realities of current revenues," said state RLC Chairman David FitzSimmons.

Bills added, "Between not balancing the budget last session and opening this year with an attempt to bind our children and grandchildren to a massive debt bill, fiscal sanity must be restored to St. Paul.”

Bills, an economics teacher at Rosemount High School and member of the Rosemount City Council, previously received the Republican Party endorsement on February 27th at the party’s senate district endorsing convention.

“With the Republican Liberty Caucus endorsement my campaign continues to reach out to the broader electorate and unify like-minded, fiscally conservative voters,” continued Bills.  “I genuinely appreciate all of the support I’ve received so far and am looking forward to visiting with as many residents of the district as I can.”

A graduate of Winona State University with a B.A. in American History and a masters’ degree in Education, Bills has taught and coached at Rosemount High School for the past 13 years.

He and his wife, Cindy, have been married for 15 years and are the parents of four children ages 13, 10, 5 and 3.  Bills is a member of the Rosemount High School Site Council and his family is a long-time member of Christ Church in Apple Valley.  Bills and his wife also own and operate a licensed home daycare.
